On Wednesday April 20th, aA held our first art exhibition at Littlefield NYC sponsored by Boundless NY & IBudYou.com.

The Highest Wing Art Exhibition was a 4/20 themed exhibition which headlined the photography of aA’s Nicky Famous & design pieces of aA’s Elle. The exhibition also featured work from guest artist Ron Bass, SlaveForYourself, Isabel LaSala, James Shields, Cesar O., TTK & Math. James Shield kept the crowd entertained with his live paintings, while Teddy King of BOUNDLESS NY & DJ Added of Element of Surprise kept the party rocking all night. BITEME CHEESECAKE & Chocolate Goddess provided some of the delicious treats that went around that night. We got a great turn out night & would like to thank all the people that came through — especially the good people at Brooklyn Circus & BarrelHouseBKLYN. Video of this night was shot by DC’s very own 1st Impression & had pictures taken by Viral Status & Kidz R’ Evil.

All & all 4/20 was a complete success. We will be opening up TheHighestWing Online Store within the next couple of  days where you can purchase the LE pieces from the antiAchievers. If you are interested in purchasing the original pieces from that night — they are now on sale at BOUNDLESS NY located on 143 Roebling St. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Since a lot of you demanded it, we are now in the works of producing shirts from some of our Highest Wing pieces — so stay tuned for that.

I’m addicted to apps.

I constantly find myself spending hours searching the App Store for new apps that will help me with all my daily routines, as well as keep me thoroughly entertained during my daily commutes in and out of the city. Being a designer, I always find myself looking within the ‘Productivity’ category to see if there’s anything out there worth buying & of course.. there always is. I figured I’d put together a weekly list of the top 5 apps that other artist, designers, photographers, videographers — you get the point — would enjoy using, just as I do. So without further adieu I present you with the Top 5 Productivity Apps of the Week:



5. Plethora (Free)

Plethora is an exclusive design gallery showcasing the world’s best web design, graphic design, branding, art, illustration, photography, product design, interior dieting & architecture. This is the perfect app for any artist that just needs daily inspiration while on the go. With Plethora, you have the option of sharing posts with your friends via FaceBook or Twitter. This is just an overall good app to have, especially if you don’t have to pay for it.






4. ColorSchemer ($2.99)

ColorSchemer allows you to have over a million palettes in your pocket, and turns your iPhone into an endless source of ideas and inspiration from the 450,000-member COLOURlovers creative design community. As a designer, I’m always looking for new palettes to work with and as an avid viewer of COLOURLOVERS.com, you can imagine how excited I was when I found out they now have an app. This app is great for designers on the go, who want a head start on their next project by picking out the color scheme first. Not only can you choose from millions of palettes already listed, but you have the option of creating your own as well.



3. Scripts Pro ($5.99)

With Scripts Pro you can write your ideas in screenplay format wether you’re on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Now usually for all screenwriting material I use Final Draft, but since Final Draft hasn’t come out with an app I searched high & low for the best screenwriting app and realized it just may be Scripts Pro. This app is great for any screenwriters on the go, that want to still write in the proper format. Features include fast element switching using the TAB button, suggestion pop-ups for character names, as well as scene re-ordering, character renaming and more. On the plus side, it does support all Final Draft files — so you can continue to write and edit on the go. For $6, I say this program is well worth it.



2. Hipstamatic ($1.99)

The Hipstamatic brings back the look, feel, unpredictable beauty, and fun of plastic toy cameras of the past. Characterized by vignettes, blurring, over saturation, discolored images, Hipstaprints have a causal and seemingly accidental snapshot feel. For $1.99 you can download the base model Hipstamatic which includes a great set of standard lenses, films and flashes to get started. Additional camera gear is bundled within the app as ‘Hipstapaks’ and start at 99 cents. I have to say this is one of my favorite apps. I rarely just use the camera on my iPhone because I like how much better they come out using Hipstamatic. When I went to Jamaica last summer, I shot with nothing but Hipstamatic & all my pictures came out phenomenal. Once you have this app, you’ll constantly want to take pictures. For only $2, this app is amazing.



1. 8mm ($1.99)

8mm Vintage Camera brings your iPhone/iPod Touch back in time to capture the beauty and magic of old school vintage movies. By mixing and matching films and lenses, you can recreate an atmosphere of those bygone eras with 25 timeless retro looks. Dust & scratches, retro colors, flickering, light leaks, frame jitters — all can be instantly added with a single tap or swipe. I thought Hipstamatic would definitely be my favorite app, until Carlos put me onto this app. I love recording videos on my iPhone because of the vivid HD quality you get from them. But using the 8mm Vintage Camera, is like using Hipstamatic for videos. All your videos come out more aesthetically pleasing with all the cool effects this app allows you to choose from. This is a fairly new app, so it only has 5 lenses and 5 films to choose from thus far, but they’re all great effects to start making your videos look amazing. I predict more lenses and films in the future, but for now i’m completely addicted to this app. Another $2 well spent.

The album art was inspired by Moses’ & the 10 Commandments, in which inspired AC to go off and do his own rendition of the image we commonly associate with Moses & the commandments. The antiAchievers Band Camp (aABC) released the mixtape to the public on February 9, 2011 with 8 tracks. Ever since the release of the album, not only has it been receiving great feedback and numerous downloads, but also has been featured on various sites, such as BarrelhouseBKLYN & AnmlHse.
